I have been seeing these Bassike Low Slung jeans a lot lately – on my instagram, pinterest and blogs. I love the boyfriend meets chic meets versatile style and have already imagined many many outfits with them in mind.
For my first outfit creation beyond my imagination, I wanted to go for a bit more of a dressy look. I can imagine wearing this outfit on a date night, for a 30th birthday/engagement party or for a night out with the girls. It could also be transitioned to a cooler climate really easily with the addition of a tailored blazer.
After pinning the jeans, I went to Sass and Bide for some top motivation and couldn’t go past this Bulls Eye printed top. I fell in love with a pair of trousers in this same pattern today, the fabric was super soft and the feature pattern is bold without being too much. Unfortunately they didn’t have the trousers in my size, otherwise I would probably be creating an outfit around them right now…
With a somewhat monochrome palette thus far, I decided it was time to add a bit of colour to the look. I absolutely LOVE LOVE everything Tibi and it is a sore point that they don’t ship to Australia, so I try to add a Tibi item into my outfit creations whenever I can. I love the ankle strap of these Carine Heels and the blush pink colour.
To continue with the pink theme and to finish off the look, I was browsing on Superette – one of my favourite NZ online shopping stores – and saw that Deadly Ponies had dropped their new Autumn line. This Mr Mini Chain Mail is the perfect size for a night out, the chain dresses it up and the bold Iodine colour is just gorgeous.
A good pair of jeans is a wardrobe staple – especially a pair with endless styling opportunities – and these Bassike Low Slung Jeans could be just the new pair I am looking for.
