Monday Work Wear

This week I’ve set a fun challenge for myself to create five different work wear looks. I’m lucky that my work is very casual and there is 100% freedom with what is acceptable to wear (one of the Italian girls at work wears CAT boots and jeans… for example) so getting dressed in the morning is fairly easy. The idea behind this challenge though, in the theme of The Worlds Wardrobe, is to create looks based upon items that I would wear if I had access to any item my heart desires.

It was actually pretty easy to design and style the different looks as I knew the general idea of what each look would be made of. I made sure I stuck within what I would actually wear; there were a couple of times where I was going to choose a part of the look that just wasn’t me (I’m so not a slim fitted officey dress kind of girl) – but I also tried to push my boundaries a little in terms of colour and fit.

Each day this week, I’ll post my creation with a little bit of a description behind the choices. I hope you enjoy.

Monday

For this look, I started with these gorgeous Isabel Marant Renell jeans which recently caught my eye. I love how the are a skinny jean with a little bit more. I went with this lace Stella McCartney top to give the look a bit of prettiness and then these Alexander Wang glazed ankle boots for the element of sophistication to the look.

For the interest piece, this Falabella Leather Shoulder bag again from Stella McCartney was the perfect balance of fun and glam. To finish the look off, I added a bit of arm bling with this Ridged Two Tone Cuff from Etro.

The perfect look to start the working week.

I have made a pinterest board called “Work Wear” if you are interested in checking out these items (and those from my other looks this week) in more detail.
