I have been obsessed with these Sigerson Morrison boots for a while now and I can’t decide if it is a very.good.thing or a very.bad.thing that they have come down from $800 to $470. My bank account trembles in anticipation. But while I have been admiring these boots for a while now (and often find myself going back to piperlime.com to check them out – does anyone else do that with a lust item?!), I have been more into ankle boots this past winter and in fact, do not currently own a pair of flat, over the knee boots.
This isn’t due to a lack of love, for I think this style of boot is a solid wardrobe staple, I just haven’t been able to find a pair I like for a price that I’m prepared to pay. This hasn’t stopped me dreaming about the different wardrobe possibilities though, so I thought I would put together a look based on the beauties from Sigerson Morrison.
This look started more on the casual side and with a jacket swap could easily continue this trend, but when I spied this gorgeous trench coat from Belstaff, I knew it needed to be in my set. The leather trim and camel colouring? Heaven in a coat.
It took me a few different websites to find the sweater that was in my head but it was worth the search as this Yigal Azrouel mesh knit sweater is exactly what I was looking for – a chunky knit, a little on the over-sized side but with a little bit of detail to keep it from being to boring. Originally part of a cute summer matching outfit, I thought this Tucker bustier top would look great under the mesh knit for a little splash of colour and a little something different. I don’t think I could pull of a bustier by itself but I love the retro feel of them and pairing with this mesh is a great compromise. Continuing with this red colour theme, I have chosen the classic Mulberry Alexa Satchel but in a gorgeous red gloss. This bag will be forever on my Worlds Wardrobe most loved list and is always fun to put into a set.
For the finer details of this look, I have chosen a chunky but sweet cuff from Giuseppe Zanotti Design, a classic pair of Karen Walker Cabbie sunglasses and Givenchy Leggings with a little bit of detailing in the fabric.
A gorgeous outfit worthy of a gorgeous pair of boots.
