Today’s look is obviously based around these stunning Stella McCartney Straight Leg Trousers. I discovered these while I was looking for items for my Monday look and immediately knew they would be the next feature. I love the ankle cropped length, the slightly wide leg and the fit around the hips. The colour is that perfect burnt orange and the pressed creases add a tailored finish to the pant.
I was initially going to pair them with a plain black blouse, but when I saw this Alexander McQueen Tiger-print silk chiffon blouse, I was sold. The black and white stripes are subtle enough to not work against the orange and the sheer chiffon compliments and balances the solid twill fabric.
To tone the look down just a little, I decided to add this cute collarless jacket from Sonia Rykiel. Its short length and simple style will work in nicely with the blouse and trousers without in any way competing.
These patent black Jimmy Choo ballet flats keep the look from being too over the top and the contrast of green in these Mesh Knot Stud Earrings keep it from being too “matchy-matchy”. The Lolita Tote from Country Road is the perfect casual finish with its imperfect leather and strap details.
I have made a pinterest board called “Work Wear” if you are interested in checking out these items (and those from my other looks this week) in more detail.
